Immediate opening: we are hiring a ceramic tiler in Vermilion County, Illinois. Day-to-day duties: • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter • Fit skirting tiles, step nosings and external corner trims • Run silicone sealant into corners and expansion joints • Screed and prepare uneven floors before tiling • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Lay floor and wall tiles to plumb and level using a spirit level What we are looking for: • Able to read setting-out drawings and tile layouts • Knowledge of waterproofing and substrate preparation 4+ years on the tools preferred.
