Join our team: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. You will work at a busy construction site. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads 5+ years on the tools preferred.
