Immediate opening: render and set plasterer (Vermont)

Now hiring: we are hiring a render and set plasterer in Windsor County, Vermont. You will be based at a plastering and dry lining contractor. The role involves: • Patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster • Set up trestles and scaffold boards for ceiling work • Float and rule off walls to a flat surface with a straightedge • Apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork • Mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency • Dub out hollows and uneven areas before skimming What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and a strong work ethic • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day 4+ years on the tools preferred.
