Steel fixer — Saline County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Saline County, Nebraska. The role involves: • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Full-time with occasional weekends.
