Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Jay County, Indiana. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Requirements: • ITI/NCVT certificate in machinist or turner trade • Able to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery You will run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. $3,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
