Immediate opening: press shop operator (Illinois)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a press shop operator in Fulton County, Illinois. The job is in a sheet metal stamping unit. The role involves: • Run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely • Load metal sheets, blanks and coils onto the press bed • Apply die lubricant and keep the tooling clean • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components Ideal candidate: • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred • Familiar with die setting and quick tool changes • Able to read engineering drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
