Join our team: lifting rigger (Michigan)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lifting rigger in Lapeer County, Michigan. The job is on a high-rise building site. On a typical shift you will take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off.
