Immediate opening: shakeout operator (South Dakota)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Walworth County, South Dakota. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills Your main tasks: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
