Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Loving County, Texas. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry You will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
