Blocklayer — Mifflin County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a blocklayer in Mifflin County, Pennsylvania. On a typical shift you will mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. Ideal candidate: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Rotating shifts.
