Vacancy available: fusing press operator (Pennsylvania)

Join our team: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. You will be based in a garment export house. The role involves: • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Give each garment a final press before packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing Requirements: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $20 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
