Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Meagher County, Montana. You will work at a residential building site. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
