Escalator technician • McDonough County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring an escalator technician in McDonough County, Illinois. The job is in a hospital with heavy lift traffic. Day to day you will wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches; set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; service the traction motor, brake and gearbox; measure rope tension and check for broken strands. You should have: • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics • Comfortable working at height and in confined hoistways • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
