Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Nassarawa, Kano State. You will be based at a busy iron foundry. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Requirements: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Pay around ₦175,000 per month, based on your experience.
