Join our team: VMC operator (Texas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a VMC operator in Armstrong County, Texas. You will be based at a busy machine shop. Your main tasks: • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square • Deburr and finish machined edges with files and emery • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters Ideal candidate: • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
