Requirements: • Good eye for panel gaps and body lines • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Confident reading insurance estimates and damage reports Your main tasks: • Feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray • Knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly • Pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder • Treat rust, apply seam sealer and underbody protection • Straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains • Measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
