Foundry operative • Mitchell County, Texas

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Mitchell County, Texas. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On a typical shift you will melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
