Argon welder — Plumas County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Plumas County, California. You will work at a stainless steel fabrication shop. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Day to day you will feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
