Lathe operator — Pickens County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a lathe operator in Pickens County, Alabama. You will work on a production line. The role involves: • Record output, scrap and downtime on the production sheet • Measure parts with vernier calliper, micrometer and go/no-go gauges • Load raw material and feed stock into the machine hopper • Carry out daily clean-down and 5S of the work station • Key in cycle parameters such as speed, feed rate and temperature • Change tooling, dies and moulds during product changeovers What we are looking for: • ITI or diploma in fitter or machinist trade an advantage • Able to stand for long hours on the shop floor • 1-2 years' experience operating production machinery At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
