Brick mason wanted in Lea County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick mason in Lea County, New Mexico. The job is on a new-build development. Ideal candidate: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding On a typical shift you will installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
