Trowel-trade bricklayer — Alexander County

Join our team: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Alexander County, North Carolina. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. What we are looking for: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On a typical shift you will brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; laying bricks to the line, level and plumb; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
