Immediate opening: we are hiring a roofer in Perry County, Illinois. The job is on residential new-build sites. Day-to-day duties: • Strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights • Insulate and ventilate the roof void • Carry out leak inspections and patch repairs • Bed and point ridge tiles with mortar • Fix clay and concrete tiles onto the battens You should have: • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls • Knowledge of both pitched and flat roofing systems Meals and transport allowance provided. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
