Argon welding operator wanted in Orleans County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Orleans County, Vermont. You should have: • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage The role involves grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer.
