Port container crane operator — Gaston County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a port container crane operator in Gaston County, North Carolina. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) The role involves: • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins Full-time, day shift.
