Metal caster — New Hanover County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in New Hanover County, North Carolina. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Pay around $220 per day, based on your experience.
