Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Anderson County, Kentucky. Day to day you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits.
