Join our team: we are hiring a rigger in Washington County, Maine. The job is at a container port. Your main tasks: • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces 3+ years on the tools preferred.
