Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in Cumbria, England. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance The role involves clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation. At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. £1,750 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
