Now hiring: we are hiring a crane rigger in Randolph County, Illinois. The role involves establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift. What we are looking for: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
