Argon welder — Clay County

Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Clay County, Indiana. You should have: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Full-time with occasional weekends.
