Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Dallas County, Missouri. The job is at a fabrication and machining plant. You should have: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work Day to day you will keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters; carry out daily lubrication and routine machine maintenance; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $4,700 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
