Steel fixer — Jefferson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Jefferson County, Tennessee. You will work on a commercial tower construction site. On a typical shift you will fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
