Join our team: we are hiring a blocklayer in Lake County, Illinois. The job is at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings What we are looking for: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. $5,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
