Hand presser — Blue Earth County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a hand presser in Blue Earth County, Minnesota. You will work in a garment export house. On the job you will handle: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board Requirements: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Six days a week, one day off.
