Track-type tractor operator — Hoke County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Hoke County, North Carolina. You will be based at an open-cast mine. Day-to-day duties: • Work to the dig plan and the banksman's signals • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Form embankments and batter slopes to the required angle • Carry out pre-start checks on tracks, hydraulics, coolant and engine oil • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Clear land of trees, stumps and debris before earthworks begin Ideal candidate: • Familiar with GPS and laser machine-control systems • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters • Physically fit for climbing on and off the machine Six days a week, one day off.
