Offshore rigger — Poweshiek County

Join our team: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Poweshiek County, Iowa. You will work on a high-rise building site. Day to day you will read lift plans and method statements before starting; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. Requirements: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
