Gas meter installer — Livingston County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Livingston County, Michigan. The job is on residential and apartment building sites. Requirements: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Day to day you will fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; test combustion and flue gases with a flue gas analyser; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
