Safety marshal — Alcona County

Now hiring: we are hiring a safety marshal in Alcona County, Michigan. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. The role involves run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions 4+ years on the tools preferred.
