Foundry operative wanted in Otero County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Otero County, Colorado. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
