Urgent requirement: overlocker operator (New York)

Immediate opening: we are hiring an overlocker operator in Erie County, New York. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. Day to day you will trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet. What we are looking for: • ITI / tailoring certificate is a plus • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Part-time with flexible hours. $2,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
