Your main tasks: • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover You should have: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Part-time with flexible hours.
