Gas meter installer — Jackson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Jackson County, Illinois. You will work at a heating and plumbing contractor. The role involves: • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls You should have: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
