Garment presser wanted in Madera County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a garment presser in Madera County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Give each garment a final press before packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Check every piece for scorch marks, shine and water spots Requirements: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $11,750 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
