Bar bender and fixer • Garden County, Nebraska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Garden County, Nebraska. Day to day you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
