We are recruiting: we are hiring a hand presser in Graves County, Kentucky. The job is in a tailoring workshop. The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number Ideal candidate: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
