Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Monroe County, Illinois. You will measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers; adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles; check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet. What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Confident with micrometers, vernier calipers and bore gauges • Able to hold tolerances to ±0.01 mm Six days a week, one day off.
