Now hiring: we are hiring a painter and decorator in Cumbria, England. The role involves: • Carry out snagging and touch-ups before handover • Lay down dust sheets and protect floors and furniture • Hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams • Prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer • Apply textured and weatherproof masonry coatings to exterior walls Requirements: • Sound knowledge of surface prep and the right primers • Working-at-height / PASMA scaffold ticket an advantage • Able to read colour schedules and follow a finish spec Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
