Great opportunity: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Terry County, Texas. You will work in the fettling and dressing shop. On a typical shift you will assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
