Canteen cook — Jay County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a canteen cook in Jay County, Indiana. The job is at a fast-food outlet. You will follow standardised recipes and stick to portion sizes; check deliveries and rotate stock using FIFO; cook dishes to order on the grill, fry and sauté stations; plate and garnish dishes for a quick pass to service; chop, dice and portion vegetables, fish and meat; taste and adjust seasoning for consistency. Ideal candidate: • Able to read and follow recipes and dockets • Familiar with North Indian, tandoor and continental cooking • Able to lift heavy stock pots and sacks of supplies Part-time with flexible hours.
