Urgent requirement: gantry crane operator (Kentucky)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Boone County, Kentucky. You will work at a container port and shipping yard. Ideal candidate: • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts On the job you will handle: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Read and interpret the load chart before every lift • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone We offer $4,900 per month plus benefits.
